First Half Of 2015 For Nigeria Will Not Be ‘Too Good’ – Bishop Samson

Founder of the Christ Royal Family Church, Egbeda, Lagos State, Bishop Tom Samson, has advised Nigerians to brace up for some “hardship” and “darkness” in the first half of next year.

The cleric made the call in a chat with Saturday PUNCH at the commencement of the church’s 2014 Royal Jubilee, a convention marking the church’s anniversary.

He said, “The Lord has spoken to us that in 2015, it would be a year of glory. But there will be a bit of hardship and difficulty but before the middle of the year, glory will visit the country.

“The first half of the year for the nation will not be too good. Nigeria needs prayers. But in the middle of the year, glory will come. No matter how bad things get, when the glory of God comes, it will swallow all the hardship and darkness”.

The Bishop, who was in the news recently following his acquisition of a stretch Hummer Limousine SUV said to be worth about N80 million and reportedly built to his taste, said his church members were free to participate in political activities as he would not dictate what their political choices should be. According to him, “How do you influence the political situation in your country if you don’t participate? People should go and vote.

Members of a church may belong to different political parties, it will be wrong for any pastor to dictate what they should do.” According to him, the jubilee, with the theme, “The dawn of His glory,” was a time of restoration and celebration.

“The Lord told me that when people come for the jubilee every year, it would be an avenue for restoration and celebration. It is a homecoming for our church family globally”, he added.
