A 35 year old man described only as Manu is on the run from police in the Eastern Region of Ghana after he butchered with a machete, a girl whose parent’s house he was living in, allegedly because she refused to have sleep with him.
According to Starrfmonline, the suspect lived in the same house as the girl because her mom was providing him free accommodation, due to him being unable to afford a place of his own. However, he has allegedly been continually demanding sex from the girl, who consistently refuses to acquiesce to his demands.
So the suspect, a known drunkard, allegedly descended on her with a cutlass early Friday. A family member of the victim says he heard her screaming from her room, and found Manu inflicting wounds on her when he entered. Upon seeing the other family member, he took to his heels.
She was rushed to the Koforidua Government Hospital for treatment, whilst police have initiated a manhunt for the suspect.
