A 14 year old, SS2 student of Eva Adelaja Girls Secondary School, Bariga, Lagos, named Ogechi Blessing, was flogged on her bare buttocks and back, allegedly by her school principal and 5 teachers for slapping the school's Head Prefect on March 16th.
According to reports, Ogechi was slapped by the head prefect of the school during a disagreement, and the SS2 student returned the slap.
The prefect reported the matter to the school principal and teachers who took Ogechi to their staff room where they allegedly asked her to pull up her uniform and underwear, and thereafter hot lashes of koboko was ministered to her bare back and buttocks.
